How to Delete Your Data

What we store when you connect Facebook and Instagram

• The ID and name of the Facebook Page you connected
• The access token Meta issues us, which is what allows us to publish on your behalf
• The ID and username of the Instagram Business account linked to that Page
• A record of each post we published for you: which platform it went to, the platform's own ID for it, the link to it, and when it was published
• The performance figures we read back for those posts, such as reach, views, likes and comments

We do not store your Facebook or Instagram password, your direct messages, your follower or following lists, or your account settings. We never ask for them and never request permission to read them.

Option 1 — Disconnect your social accounts

This removes the Meta connection but keeps your RealSocial account.

1. Open the RealSocial app
2. Go to Profile → Connected accounts
3. Tap Disconnect

We immediately delete the stored connection, including the access token, and revoke that token with Meta so it can no longer be used.

Option 2 — Delete your RealSocial account

This removes everything.

1. Open the RealSocial app
2. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account
3. Confirm

When you confirm:

• Your Facebook and Instagram connections are disconnected and the access tokens are revoked with Meta
• Any posts that were scheduled or awaiting your review are cancelled
• You are signed out immediately
• Your account and its data are held for 7 days in case you change your mind. Signing in during those 7 days restores your account and its content. Your social connections are not restored automatically — you would reconnect them.
• After 7 days, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered

Option 3 — Remove RealSocial from your Facebook settings

You can revoke our access from Meta's side at any time:

Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → RealSocial → Remove

This immediately stops us publishing on your behalf. To also delete the data we already hold, use Option 1 or Option 2, or email us at the address below.

Option 4 — Email us

If you cannot access the app, email team@realsocial.me from the email address on your RealSocial account and ask us to delete your data. We will confirm within 30 days.

Posts that are already published

Posts we published to your Facebook Page or Instagram account before you deleted your data stay on those platforms. They belong to your accounts, not to RealSocial, and deleting your RealSocial data does not give us permission to remove content from your Page or profile. To take those down, delete them in Facebook or Instagram directly.

What we keep

After deletion we retain records of the AI generation work carried out on the account, for accounting purposes. These records are stripped of any link to you — they no longer identify your account or your email — and cannot be used to reconstruct your profile, your posts or your connections.
